We currently serve students with in-school grief support groups in 6 counties, offer a family grief group in Lexington, and conduct professional trainings and advocacy work around grief and loss for youth statewide.

Interns for the organization are a vital part of helping us increase our outreach for programs, manage and increase our social media presence, and develop communications pieces for fundraising and increased community knowledge of the organization. Duties include:

• Creation and design of program flyers, posters, and announcements.

• Creation and maintenance of MailChimp email outreach to KCGCF donors.

• Research, design, and scheduling for social media posts on the KCGCF’s main platforms. Collaboration with other KCGCF interns and staff on posts to create a cohesive brand look and content cohesion. Help build audience following and suggest and create new content using Instagram Live and other such tools.

• Create supporting materials and outreach strategies for fundraising campaigns, supplies drives, and volunteer drives.

• Write and disseminate press releases; maintenance and updating of KCGCF local and state media contacts lists and databases.

• Special projects work (may include creating governance or strategy documents; creating print marketing brochures and other informational pieces, etc.).
