If you’d like to work on building your skills on your own time in the trusted hands of industry experts and professionals, Centre students can do so, for free, on LinkedIn Learning!

This resource offers over 21,000 courses focusing on skill-building for careers and general professional skills. Students can earn certifications to validate their skills (which can be added straight to their LinkedIn profile), customize their career plan, curate collections based on career needs, and more!

How to get started…

1. Create a LinkedIn profile

• If you already have a profile, you can click here to access LinkedIn Learning.
• If you don’t have a profile, you can schedule an appointment with a Career Peer Mentor to help you get started! Otherwise, click here to create your LinkedIn profile.

2. The CCPD has curated a collection of videos called “Professionalism 101”, tackling the necessary soft skills you’ll need in the career world, as well as important interviewing tips. You can start there to get a feel for what LinkedIn Learning has to offer. To view the collection, navigate to “My Content” and click on “Recommended by Centre College”!

3. Start browsing for content related to the skills you’re interested in!

For example:

• Interested in marketing? Discover courses focusing on high-impact storytelling, strategic content marketing, or SEO.
• Interested in working in government? Discover courses on managing government projects, lessons in serving the public in government, and government grants.
• Interested in learning technical skills? You’ll find courses in mastering Excel or programming in Python.

This is just a small example of the many kinds of content available to you!
