RaganSmith, a Pape-Dawson company, is seeking a full-time Survey Intern based in our Nashville office. This position is responsible for providing surveying office support and participating in field work as needed. The Survey Intern will also collaborate internally with field staff as well as CAD technicians, civil engineers, and land surveyors to assist our clients in the development of land surveys.
Responsibilities
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to prepare boundary and topographic surveys along with subdivision plats
- Process, extract, and analyze field survey data
- Collaborate with project surveyors and project managers to create plans and survey base mapping
- Perform quality assurance and standards checks on projects
- Field work including site inspections, research, and quality assurance as needed
- Additional related duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and critical thinking skills
- 1+ years of experience with surveying or taking surveying classes
- Seeking an associate degree or higher in a survey program or equivalent
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Exposure to GEOPAK, Open Roads, MicroStation, and drone flights a plus
