Summary:

Apply mechanical engineering and product design principles to design software defined radios, electronic systems, and sub-components to withstand rugged applications.

Description:

As a Mechanical Engineer at HTL you will conceptualize, analyze, and design, small Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) electronics to reliably operate in harsh environmental conditions, and performing mechanical aspects of systems design and platform integrations.

Product development is performed in cross-disciplinary teams with Mechanical Engineers leading concept development and all mechanical aspects of the product lifecycle, from concept to production, including transition to production and manufacturing support. Analysis responsibilities include performing analysis in the areas of statics, dynamics, mechanical stresses, shock, vibration, thermal, fit/tolerances, and manufacturability to ensure a reliable and high-quality product design. Design entails creating 3D CAD concepts of sub-components and systems, selecting components, performing detailed design, documenting for fabrication and assembly, and coordinating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and vendors.

Advanced coursework, Master’s degree, and/or past experience in mechanical design preferred. Pro-E/CREO experience preferred.

Full-time and internship positions are available.

Full-time positions available for varied levels of experience including 0-3 years, 3+ years.

SALARY RANGE

Full-time: $75,000 – $200,000 per year
Intern: $25.00 – $60.00 per hour
