Job Title: Operations Support Assistant

Job Type: Internship / Part-Time – Less than 20 hours per week

Location: Long Island City, New York (On-site only)

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00

Position Summary

The Operations Support Assistant will participate in a structured rotation-based program designed to provide hands-on exposure across multiple business functions, including operations, pricing, and customer support. This role is ideal for students or early-career professionals seeking to develop a comprehensive understanding of the logistics and business environment. The position supports daily administrative and analytical tasks while building practical experience in operational management, pricing analysis, and customer interaction. This is a part-time role (under 20 hours per week) and the company is able to support CPT for eligible international students in compliance with school requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Administrative Support

    • Provide day-to-day administrative support including filing, scanning, and document management.
    • Maintain accurate records, tracking spreadsheets, and internal databases.
    • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars.
    • Support management with report preparation and data compilation.
  • Operations Rotation

    • Organize, monitor, and update daily operational data and performance metrics.
    • Assist in identifying workflow inefficiencies and operational process issues.
    • Support cross-functional teams in documenting and improving procedures.
  • Pricing Rotation

    • Conduct basic pricing comparisons and cost breakdown analysis.
    • Assist in maintaining rate cards, pricing structures, and discount rules.
    • Support the pricing team with data entry and reporting tasks.
  • Customer Exposure Rotation

    • Gain hands-on exposure to customer-related scenarios, including service inquiries and issue resolution.
    • Assist in tracking customer feedback and service performance.
    • Observe customer interaction workflows to understand end-to-end operations.
  • Perform special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university (Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
    • For international students, must be eligible to work under CPT (Curricular Practical Training).
    • Ability to commit to a part-time schedule (less than 20 hours per week).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Reliable, responsible, and able to work on-site consistently.
  • Preferred:

    • Prior internship or office experience.
    • Exposure to data analysis, pricing support, or operational processes in a similar business environment.
    • Strong interest in logistics, operations, or business analytics.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is a plus.
