About the Dermatology Internship (Great Pay)
For Pre-Med, Pre-PA, and Pre-Nursing Students

CareYaya is partnering with dermatology and geriatric care clinics to offer a Dermatology-Focused Internship for pre-health students. This unique role gives you direct experience with skin health, wound care, lesion documentation, and the dermatological needs of elderly patients in both home and clinic-based settings.
Unlike shadowing-only roles, this internship is interactive, educational, and well-paid. It’s designed specifically for undergraduates or post-bacc students on the pre-med, pre-PA, nursing, or pre-health track.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in observing and documenting common dermatological conditions in older adults (e.g., eczema, ulcers, pressure sores, fungal infections, skin cancers).
- Provide hands-on care in non-invasive ways under supervision, including skin moisturizing regimens, wound care follow-ups, and hygiene education.
- Support physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician associates with intake and tracking of dermatologic concerns during home visits or community clinics.
- Help educate families on preventive skin health and proper care techniques for aging skin.
- Participate in weekly training calls and mentorship sessions with CareYaya’s clinical advisory team.
