Engineering Systems Intern

Reports to: Director Manufacturing Digitalization

Location: Global Innovation Center, Clermont KY -or- Frankfort, KY

Our Global Supply Chain Summer Interns are given the opportunity for hands-on experience within the Spirits industry. Internships are paid, 40 hours per week, and based out of our Kentucky locations (Frankfort, Clermont, or Loretto, KY). Come join us for an unforgettable summer!

The Engineering Systems Intern will have the opportunity to work with the global engineering team to optimize systems and processes that support the global manufacturing of distilled spirits. This role will support efforts toward digital transformation in both manufacturing and office environments, leveraging digital tools for robotic process automation, generative AI, data analytics, and dashboards/visualizations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting Manufacturing Digital Transformation Projects in implementation Phase at multiple sites in KY (50%)
  • Implement process automation and optimization using tools like SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Apps, AI Agents, etc (30%)
  • Support ongoing efforts toward global manufacturing and engineering standards, specifications, and documentation (20%)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Interns must be 21 by the start of the internship in June 2026.
  • Interns must be pursuing a degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university and are preferably a rising senior or enrolled in a graduate program
  • Previous internship, especially from the spirits industry, preferred
  • Ability to perform tasks independently and efficiently, paying close attention to detail and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving & communication skills, working with others for input, clearly documenting work and results
  • Self-starter, flexible, comfortable working in unstructured fast-paced environment, and able to manage multiple priorities effortlessly
  • Team player with collaborative style and good listening skills. Culturally sensitive and proven ability to understand, and work well with others
  • Key skills might include: Proficiency with Microsoft Power Suite (BI, Automate, Apps), Big Data and Analytics, Process Automation, Industrial Controls, Mobile App Development, Google Cloud Platform
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
